On the 21st March 2015, Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry came to Camborne Science and International Academy. A group of Year 5 and 6 students enjoyed a day of creative writing tasks, from writing spells to creating magical creatures of their own.
Armed with the essential wizarding materials: a parchment notebook, a wand, a sense of curiosity and magic in the air; the budding young witches and wizards were prepared for a day of magic and mysteries.
Excellent group work and team skills helped turn CSIA into a top wizarding school. In competition for quirky quills and a signed Harry Potter poster, the witches and wizards put their powers into full play to win the prizes.
The pupils got the chance to use their imagination to create their own magical creatures in 'A History of Magical Creatures' lesson and learned the true nature of the much-loved 'Squiggle'. Their creative juices ran riot when the pupils produced instructions to create their own edible potions (and dared to try them). In addition, the students enjoyed sharing stories of when they found out they were a witch or wizard in their common room time.
Overall, a fantastic time was had by all and we look forward to hearing more exciting stories from the Super Saturday witches and wizards!
